Downtown's Next Steps survey results

The city held a survey for 3 weeks on Virtual City Hall to learn more about the community's vision and values for downtown Main Avenue. The survey received 938 responses, with 90% of the responses from residents. Respondents said that they go to downtown to visit restaurants and shops. They also said they drive downtown and walk around downtown once they get there. Most respondents said that they would like to see more outdoor patios and space for pedestrians. These survey results will be used to inform the vision and conceptual designs for downtown Main Avenue.

Transit ridership trending up in 2021

Thank you to everyone who participated in Durango Transit's ridership survey. The importance of transit in our community is demonstrated by the 70% of riders who don't have access to a car and are dependent on the service. This data helps to inform Durango Transit's service and secure funding opportunities.
