Durango Sustainability Plan

Sustainability Plan Update

The City of Durango is in the process of creating a new Sustainability Plan for our community.

In May 2020, a Sustainability Working Group comprised of representatives from local stakeholder organizations and members of existing Boards and Commissions was formed to guide the Sustainability Plan process. A preliminary draft framework for the plan was presented to the public for feedback in the summer of 2021. Materials and media from these meetings can be seen below.

Feedback from public participation and meetings with city staff was incorporated into a final draft Sustainability Plan.

The final draft plan was presented to City Council at the May 17, 2022 Study Session. A recording can be found on the city's YouTube channel.

Pending review from City Council and incorporating final feedback, the plan will be presented to City Council for formal adoption at the June 7, 2022 Council meeting.

Public feedback can be submitted to sustainability@durangogov.org through Wednesday, May 25, 2022.
