Grants were awarded to businesses, sole proprietors and nonprofit organizations. Restaurants/bars, coffee shops, retail establishments, tourism-specific businesses, dental and medical offices, massage therapists, salons, gyms and childcare businesses were among those receiving funds. Businesses that did not receive funding in the first round were eligible to apply for the second round.
Applicants have been contacted and will receive funds when all paperwork has been submitted. Businesses have until noon, Friday, Jan. 8 to submit remaining documents. Business that have not heard back about grant applications should email DBRF@DurangoGov.org
The Business Relief Fund was established with CARES Act funding distributed by the state to municipalities, counties and special districts. The fund was created to encourage recovery, resilience and long-term viability of businesses contributing to a strong local economy.
