  • Defective overflow tube.

How to check if your toilet is leaking:

  • Drop a dye tablet  or food coloring into the tank
  • Do Not Flush!
  • Water 15-20 minutes

If color appears you have a leak.

  • Repair leaky faucets and showerheads.
    • Replace washers
    • Is it hot water

Problems with plumbing fixtures may be due to old age, corrosion or wear and tear.  Replacement or repair parts can be purchase at a local hardware or plumbing supply store or call a local plumber.
