Natural Land Preservation Advisory Board
Board Overview
The purpose of the Natural Lands Preservation Advisory Board is to oversee the acquisition, protection, stewardship, and use of the city's open spaces and natural lands in such a manner that will enhance the natural beauty of the city and provide for the enjoyment, health, and general welfare of its residents.

Responsibilities
  • Provides recommendations relative to planning, developing, and implementing the Open Space Program
  • Reviews open space dedications within new developments
  • Evaluates and prioritizes parcels of land for inclusion in the Open Space Program
  • Develops and refines open space management policies
  • Reviews improvements on open space parcels, including natural surface trails
  • Promotes stewardship of the city's natural lands and maintain a healthy forest
