  2. Clean Commute Week

Clean Commute Week is an effort of the City of Durango to encourage citizens to get out of their single-occupant vehicle and try a more sustainable mode of transportation by commuting via public transportation, carpooling, walking, and bicycling. Through the weekly events, people can learn that choosing a sustainable mode of transportation can be easy, cost effective, and fun – and an everyday way to commute! The week features many events including micro-bike tunes at the Farmers Market, the Paul Wilbert Memorial Passeggiata, a Community Forum, the Pedal vs. Metal Challenge, Bike to Work Day, the Love Your Commute Celebration and Awards Ceremony, a Business Commuter Challenge and Free Transit Days all week. For more information, please call (970) 375-4955, email multimodal@durangogov.org or visit www.durangogov.org/cleancommuteweek.
