Upcoming Closure and Maintenance of Main Airport Parking Lot

As part of the planned improvements to the Durango-La Plata County Airport (DRO), during the week of September 17-21 the main airport parking lot will be closed.  Maintenance activities during the closure will include application of crack sealant, asphalt seal coat, and a restripe of the parking lot.  These improvements will help to protect the asphalt and in effect extend the useful life of this important airport infrastructure.

The main parking lot is required to be clear of vehicles for the maintenance operation to be conducted. Cars that are parked in the Main Lot past September 16th will be towed to an airport overflow lot. The ability to park in the main lot will resume on September 22nd, weather permitting. Click "view full release" below to view a map of the parking lots.

During the maintenance project, parking will be available in the Credit Card Lot located south of the terminal. Getting a ride to the airport or carpooling is encouraged due to the reduced number of parking spaces. Cash parking payments may be made inside the terminal.  Additional parking rate and payment information can be found under the “Parking” section of www.FlyDurango.com

Questions about the upcoming parking lot closure can be directed to Oren Fallon at 970-382-6068 or via email at oren.fallon@durangogov.org.
