Indie Lens Pop-Up film “The Bad Kids” showing at the Durango Public Library

The Durango Public Library, Indie Lens Pop-Up, presented by ITVS, and Rocky Mountain PBS are excited to present “The Bad Kids,” a film by Keith Fulton (Producer/Director/Sound) and Lou Pepe (Director/Cinematographer). The film will show on Saturday February 25th at the Library at 2pm.  Light refreshments will be provided.

Located in an impoverished Mojave Desert community, Black Rock Continuation High School is an alternative for at-risk students with little hope of graduating from a traditional high school. It's their last chance. This coming of age story shows extraordinary educators and talented students combating the crippling effects of poverty.

The film will be followed by an engaging group activity in partnership with the Prejudice Elimination Action Team (PEAT) from Durango High School. “The Bad Kids” will air on April 20, 2017 on PBS (check local listings). Please contact the Durango Public Library for more information about the 2/25 event.
