The Durango-La Plata Airport Security Requirements dictate that all persons seeking unescorted access must be badged by the Airport.
Credentialing Office Hours are Monday through Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm.
To apply for an Airport Security Badge (SIDA, General Aviation, and Concessionaire) one of the following must be met:
- Be employed with an entity operating on Durango-La Plata County Airport
- Have an aircraft based on DRO Airfield or own/lease hangar space
- An employee of a Federal, State or Local Agency operating at Durango-La Plata County Airport
If the criteria has been met, contact the Credentialing Office at 970-382-6053 or email the Airport Credential Office to have an appointment scheduled.
What documents do I need to be badged?
You will need to have two forms of government ID along with your application. Each ID must be unexpired and be listed as an approved document under I-9 Verification.
How long will my background check take?
This time varies between each applicant and may take between 5-14 days. You will be contacted if there are any delays or issues on your application or further information is needed for your application.
How long is my Badge valid for?
All badges issued from the airport are valid for 2 years from issued date printed on your badge.
When can I renew my badge?
Badges can be renewed up to 30 days before the expiration date.
