Needham Connect Phase 1 Project Completion

October 12, 2016 - The recently completed Needham Connect Phase 1 project increases safety and accessibility for all sidewalk and road users. Highlighted in the 2012 Multi Modal Transportation Master Plan as a high-priority safety project, the Needham Connect Phase 1 project was funded with a $291,000 Safe Routes to School grant in 2015. Construction of the project was completed this summer.

The projects bring sidewalks into compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, the City's Land Use Development Code and provide much needed safety and accessibility improvements for students, parents, families, teachers and the neighborhood.
